Thanks For Visiting!
Our Church was founded by the late Dr. Merrill F. Unger
in 1937. Originally named The West Ferry Gospel Tabernacle, the name was later
changed to West Ferry Bible Baptist Church and in 1962 was named Bible Baptist Church. With the home of the Buffalo Philharmonic
Orchestra only a block away from the Church, the members made a decision to change
it's name to Symphony Bible Church in 1991.
Since it's founding, the church has been dubbed
"the little lighthouse of the west side". Those who have labored with
God over the past several decades to
maintain SBC as a fundamental Bible-believing church have envisioned a
friendly, loving neighborhood church where one could find a place to grow in
their relationship with Jesus Christ and expect to hear an unchanging message
of hope in an ever changing world.
Our purpose here at Symphony Bible Church is to
proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ while maintaining a personal ministry that
equips individual believers to successfully live the Christian life and share their faith with others. We are
committed to proclaiming this life changing message to our world through
evangelism and missions. Over the years, many that have visited our Church say
they feel at home when they are with us.
